FIRST ROUND: ORAL DEFENSE SESSION OF THE WRITTEN REPORT

09:00 Teams briefing before the oral defence of their written reports
09:30 Defence of teams’ written reports (four parallel sessions)
Two or three teams confront with each other’s. Each team is given 20 minutes in order to introduce its written report
10:00 Questions by teams and jury
Each team is given 10 minutes in order to ask 1 to 2 questions to the other team(s),
before the jury is invited to ask questions to the different teams.
11:00 Coffee break
11:30 Answers by teams
Teams have 10 minutes each in order to answer to the questions
12:00 Wrap up session with jury and teams: what went right and wrong?
Jury comments on teams pleadings and gives tips and tricks to teams
12:30 Deliberation of the jury and distribution of case materials for the
negotiation exercise
13:00 Lunch

SECOND ROUND: NEGOTIATION EXERCISE

14:00 Preparation of negotiation exercise
15:00 Coffee Break
15:30 Oral negotiation
2 teams confront each other’s. Each team is given 20 minutes in order to give its position, before the negotiation continues in order to reach an agreement
17:30 Wrap up session with the jury: what went right and wrong?
18:00 End of first day and jury deliberation
19:30 Dinner

09:00 Teams Briefing before pleading
All the teams receive the case file. The two winning teams prepare their pleading.
The other teams prepare one or two questions for the winning teams.
10:00 Oral pleading by first team
10:30 Oral pleading by second team
11:00 Questions by jury and by other teams
11:30 Response by team Y
11:45 Response by team X
12:00 Wrap up session with the jury: what went right and wrong?
12:15 Deliberation by jury
13:00 Announcement of winning team and prize award
13:15; Lunch
14:15 End of the Contest
