Final of the Young European Lawyers Contest: Moot Court at the General Court of the European Union, 12 October 2022

Vlad Sulea, Stella Alessandrini, Vincenzo Maiorano, and Jan Spierzak are the winner of this contest. They were warmly congratulated by Ms Jettie Van Caenegem who is the chairperson of the Friends of ERA Association. The team represented the European Commission in a fictious moot court case pleaded today at the General Court of the European Union in Luxembourg.

The second place was attributed to team composed of Lucie Lavergne, Dimitrios Karagiannis, Justine Yansenne and Silvia Buliscakova defending a company in a state aid matter.

Both teams were invited to defend a case before a Jury composed of Judges of the General Court, academic, and lawyers in private practice. Teams showed great confidence and composure in answering the questions posed by the jury following the pleas. This young generation of lawyers attending this contest is definitely talented!

The next contest organised by Academy of European Law ERA will take place in 2023. For further information: https://younglawyerscontest.eu/
