The contest is opened to trainee lawyers and newly qualified lawyers (in their first year after qualification) in EU Member States participating to the EU Justice Programme 2021-2024.

The number of places available for participants is limited. Registrations will be accepted on a first-come-first-served basis.


Participants should have a working knowledge of English.


Participation from young lawyers nominated by Bars financing the project are free of charge.They do not have to register through the registration procedure of this website and should contact their Bar.

For participants applying on their own or through any other Bars, a fee of 170 Euro will be charged, including costs for documentation, lunch, coffee breaks and diner. These participants shall apply here and add their CV in their application. They will have to pay the fee within 7 days upon receipt of confirmation of their nomination after selection procedure.


For the semi-finals: Accommodation for 1 night will be booked and paid by ERA.

For the final: Accommodation for 3 nights will be booked and paid by ERA.


All young lawyers selected to participate to the contest will receive a contribution to their travel costs upon receipt of the original invoices, tickets and receipts.
Participants are asked to arrange their own travel.
